Virginia Museum of History and Culture Learning Resources

The Virginia Museum of History and Culture offers a variety of learning resources and activities, including an interactive virtual timeline that highlights items from the museum collection. The Justice in the Classroom collection of lessons from the John Marshall Foundation address the rule of law, foundations of government, judicial systems, and the struggle for black equality. Lessons engage students in studying primary sources and include graphic organizers, activities, web-based media, and more. Designed for middle school and high school learners, materials may need some adaptation for adult education settings but be valuable to those teaching on civics, citizenship, and social studies topics. Some materials are available in Spanish.
