Resources for Working with Immigrant Families
Protecting Immigrant Families (PIF) Coalition bridges the gap between leading advocates in the immigrant rights and health and social services advocacy spaces. Their over 800 member organizations prioritize children, education, health, anti-hunger, anti-poverty groups, and faith leaders to lay the foundation for a more inclusive future.
PIF has a number of toolkits for working with and supporting immigrant families. Topics range from Kids and Benefits to Data Privacy and Public Programs to Food Programs and Your Rights. These toolkits contain various materials to use with your learners including factsheets, social media samples, videos, and presentations.

The Office of New Americans (ONA) through the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) was created to support the success of Virginia’s immigrant and refugee communities. They connect people with trusted resources, help families adjust to new lives in Virginia and advise state leaders on how to build inclusive, thriving communities.
