Family Literacy Activity Kits

The activity kits were developed to support family literacy programming, particularly the Parent and Child Together (PACT) Time component. Each activity kit contains objectives for parenting adults and children followed by some options and guidance for preparing the parenting adults for the activity. Most of the time, the preparation for the PACT Time activity can be done during Parent Time or Adult Education. Lastly, each activity kit concludes with a list of suggested books related to the theme or topic.

These activity kits were developed by Debbie Tuler, ESL Coordinator & Instructor with TJACE@PVCC, with support from the Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center.
