Exploring Teacher Leadership Trends and Possibilities by Dr. Terry Dozier

Dr. Terry Dozier, former Director of the Center for Teacher Leadership at VCU’s School of Education, gave this presentation at the 2015 College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) Teacher-Leadership Institute.

It includes a description of three areas of teacher leadership influence: instructional, professional, and policy. The Standards-Based Instruction, Virginia (SBI:VA) trainings aim to develop teacher leadership mindsets and skills in all participants; SBI 1 focuses on the instructional impact of educators well-versed in the standards, while SBI 2 focuses on the professional impact these leaders can have working with their colleagues.
