Right Question Institute’s “Why vote?” Voter Engagement Resources
Education nonprofit Right Question Institute’s “Why Vote?” voter engagement strategy “is a way for organizations working in low-income communities to strengthen people’s motivation and determination to vote. It allows people to explore connections between public services that are important to them, decisions made by elected officials, and voting. It prepares people to take action: to navigate complex public systems, ask questions and have their voices heard, and vote.” This page includes resources that can be used to engage people in their communities who are not regular voters and to teach civics participation. Videos from actual voter education program participants, including one who speaks about adult education, will be relatable to many adult learners.
