VALRC: Serving Refugees, New Americans, & Immigrants PLC
Goals:
- To provide technical assistance to programs who are already or expect to serve refugees in their adult education programs
- To connect practitioners to share promising instructional, in-person and virtual, and outreach strategies
- To provide resources and support related to teaching diverse populations, including asset-based approach strategies and culturally responsive practices

Who should attend:
- ESOL coordinators and lead teachers working to recruit learners from and engage with the refugee community
- ESOL or ABE instructors or tutors who expect to or already have refugee learners, including emerging English language learners, in their classrooms
- ESOL instructors or tutors who expect to or already are teaching classes specifically for refugees
