LINCS: Tribal Cultural Services and Support: Responsive Approach Working with Indigenous Individuals with Disabilities

Join the guest speakers, Wendy Parent-Johnson, Executive Director of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center and Professor in the Department of Counseling and Special Education at Virginia Commonwealth University, and R. Joshua Drywater, Training and Technical Assistance Associate at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Rehabilitation Research and Training Center for a discussion of the cultural considerations of working with learners with disabilities from native and indigenous communities. Wendy and Joshua will share best practices for supporting full inclusion of learners in their education, as well as culturally sensitive strategies and resources for supporting access and providing accommodations.
