A working group providing input for learner-centered programming and increasing awareness of adult education throughout the state.

  • Review & advising for the adult learner publication, SPOTLIGHT.
  • How best to incorporate & elevate learner voice into programs.
  • Effective messaging & use of the LACES data management student portal.
  • Leadership opportunities for adult learners (presentations, webinars, publications, COABE, etc.)

Adult Learners can benefit through:

  1. $500 stipend – Upon completion, participants will receive a stipend for their efforts.
  2. Leadership training – VALRC facilitators will deliver project-based leadership skills training to participants according to standards & best practices.
  3. Employability skills development – Throughout the year, VALRC facilitators will work with adult learner leaders to identify * document evidence of leadership skills developed, which can be put on a résumé.
