Civics It Up! Civics Objectives

This resources is a tool for teachers of Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education (IELCE) activities. The purpose of the resources is to help teachers plan and implement instructional units and lessons that integrate language learning with rights and responsibilities of citizenship, civic participation, and workforce preparation.

Instructors can use this resource to identify classroom objectives for the integration of these civics content related to health, consumerism, and employment. The objectives are organized by topic area and proficiency level. Some of the objectives are written at various proficiency levels for use in a multilevel classroom.
