- Locate other people who are also learning English. Places to find other learners include at work, your children's school, community centers, libraries, or the gym.
- Choose one of the above websites or applications for learning English.
- Use the selected application or website to study English on your own.
- Set up a weekly meeting time (in-person or using video chat).
- Meet weekly to discuss your English lessons and to practice speaking English.
- Optional: Identify someone with strong English language skills to lead your study group.
- At the end of each group meeting, discuss what you learned and what you want to learn next.
