Virginia LACES April Training Agenda

We will be working in groups. We will do our best to keep program teams together. The LACES team will be presenting in the large Gallery space; time in classrooms will be for reinforcing practice with your team, thinking through new routines, and for considering state policy implications. The VDOE and VALRC staff will be facilitating those classrooms.

Materials:

Participants will receive a binder with a printed Users Guide so that you can take notes and make reminders. (In the future, additions and new editions to the Guide will be posted within the LACES User News section online.)

Participants will also receive a graphic organizer to assist the team with planning new data routines and processes for your program.

What to bring:

Each team should bring an extension cord for your team. We will have lots of extras but could use some additional ones to keep everyone plugged in.

Each participant should bring your laptop and mouse (tablets are not recommended but can be used with an external keyboard); the laptop should have the Chrome, Edge, or Firefox browser installed.

Food:

Beverage breaks with light snacks will be provided each day. Boxed lunches will be provided Wednesday and Thursday. Indicate in the registration form above whether you have a food preference or need accommodations.

Lodging:

VALRC has curated a list of nearby hotels, within a 3-mile radius of the event, that provide rooms at the government/state per diem rate. If you have other hotel preferences and would like to ask any questions, please reach out to vdesk@vcu.edu.
