Katie Bratisax

As the Senior Instructional Technology Specialist at the Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center (VALRC), I oversee the coordination and facilitation of online courses and deliver professional development on key topics such as ADA Section 508 compliance, trauma-informed instructional practices, remote and distance education, digital learning and resilience, and learning disabilities. My work supports adult educators across Virginia in enhancing accessibility, engagement, and instructional effectiveness. I earned my M.Ed. in Adult Learning from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017.

Originally from Florida, I earned my undergraduate degree there before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, where I held roles at Cox Interactive Media and Cartoon Network. I also spent nearly two years teaching conversational English in Japan before settling in Virginia.
