Communication Tools
These tools will assist programs and instructors in communicating with their students via messaging tools that can be used to send reminders, updates, and important information. Also included are web conferencing tools used to host web conferences (synchronous virtual classes, meetings, orientations, etc.) with students.
Messaging Tools
These tools can be used for sending messages to students to communicate reminders, updates, and important information.

Remind: A communication platform that allows for real-time direct messaging.

Google Voice: A telephone service that provides call forwarding, voicemail services, voice messaging, and text messaging.

ClassPager: A free (for up to one class) communication app that can be used to send reminders and polls to students. Students are also able to respond to messages.

Talking Points: A free communication app that allows for multilingual communication.
|
 |
WhatsApp: A free communication app that allows for communication via phone or video calls, as well as direct messaging. It also allows for the sending of media such as documents or videos.

Web Conferencing Tools
These tools can be used to host web conferences (synchronous virtual classes, meetings, orientations, etc.) with students. All of these tools are free or have free versions. While they all have web conferencing ability, their available tools and offerings differ. |

Zoom: A web conferencing platform that allows for virtual meetings.

Google Meet: A web conferencing platform that can be used to video conference and communicate.

Webex: A web conferencing platform that allows for virtual meetings, as well as calls and messaging.

UberConference: A web conferencing platform that allows for virtual meetings and phone calls.
