Resource Alignment Rubrics

Green Bar Image

The following rubrics were created to help assess the quality of online and other Professional Development (PD) resources. Rubric One is designed for PD resources, and Rubric Two is for PD instruction. The rubrics provide a baseline for discussion of how well these resources align with requirements for either IET instruction and programming and/or SBI instruction and programming. They are not intended to denote the quality of a resource or its usefulness for instruction other than in respect to its alignment to IET and SBI criteria.

We’d also like to hear from the adult education field. If you are interested in submitting vetted SBI or IET resources to us, please fill out our Google Submission Form.

Use these rubrics when assessing new resources:

Rubric One: This rubric is intended for books, websites, and online resources such as PDFs and downloadable documents that focus on PD for adult education.

Rubric Two: This rubric is intended for face-to-face and online PD activities for adult education.
